Here’s your reminder that at it’s core, a ‘wedding’ is simply a celebration of your love and commitment to someone.
You don’t need the paperwork, or the officiant to celebrate your love (unless you need the paperwork for legal reasons, haha).
When M and B reached out to have me photograph their celebration of love I quite literally JUMPED at the chance. This is exactly the kind of thing I love photographing and celebrating - love in it’s purest form.
They had their closest family and friends in attendance, declared their love with vows, and love and laughter. It was truly so pure and sincere.
They rented an AirBNB in La Peche, Quebec at the beginning of Autumn and the colours were immaculate and the concept of renting a house in the woods to host your celebration of love is something I will now recommend to all my intimate wedding couples. Everyone slept in the house (with a few stragglers choosing to tent camp outside) which meant they got to spend the night having a blast with their family and friends.
The house they rented was in the woods, which meant it had tons of space for portraits after the vows, on top of the space for the ceremony.
If you are looking to celebrate your love with an elopement, intimate wedding, or even a larger wedding, I would LOVE to help you find the perfect fall location in Quebec! Fall in Quebec might be one of my favourite spots for photos, ever!
